especially in times of vulnerability. We are fully committed to protecting the well-being of all who engage with our ministry, including leaders, families, youth, and the wider community.
This includes protection from spiritual, emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, and creating a safe environment for healing and hope.
Our Safeguarding Commitment
We are committed to:
- Providing a safe space for all people, regardless of background, age, gender, or status
- Responding promptly to concerns or allegations of abuse
- Following UK safeguarding laws and guidelines
- Protecting the confidentiality of individuals while respecting legal obligations
- Referring concerns to appropriate agencies when necessary
- Equipping our team with basic safeguarding training and procedures
- Working with churches and families to ensure continuity of care
Who This Applies To
Our safeguarding principles apply to:
- Adults receiving pastoral support or counselling
- Vulnerable adults or those with additional needs
- Young people and children involved in events, visits, or mentoring
- Families grieving or recovering from trauma
- Anyone who may be at risk of harm, abuse, or exploitation
Our Team
All core team members, volunteers, and event staff operating in direct ministry roles:
- Have undergone reference checks
- Are briefed on safeguarding principles
- Understand the importance of confidentiality and accountability
- Know how to escalate a safeguarding concern if raised
